Our opinion is that Morgans have, by far, the best minds, hearts, dispositions, and feet of any horses bred in the United States. Focusing on early equine education, we start our colts under saddle at between three and four years of age. Within a couple of months they have a soft stop and lateral movement. They walk, trot, canter on a loose rein, change leads, back, turn on the hind and forequarter, cross creeks and are ready to start any career with confidence. We use natural horsemanship to train our colts.
Horses from The Statesman Farm are also featured in this website. The Statesman line and most of the horses offered by EastWest Morgans descend from a combination of old Government, old Lippitt, Brunk, and Western Working bloodlines. Lynne Shpak has been breeding, training, and showing Morgans in driving, hunter over fences, and dressage competitions for many years. Her horses are known in the show arena for their wonderful gaits, kindness, intelligence, and conformation.
We hope you will enjoy your visit to our website. We currently have two stallions available for stud services, Chief of State standing at Statesman Farm in Woodstock, MD and Statesman Sky Hawk standing at EastWest Morgans in Blue Ridge, GA. Both stallions are owned by Lynne Shpak. Lynne has another stallion prospect, Statesman Bold Mandate, and at EastWest Morgans we have two colts that are stallion prospects, Arapaho Lathario, and a gaited palomino. We also offer Morgans of all ages and training levels for sale.
Please consider visiting our farm. We are in the Chattahoochee National Forest and trail riding in the mountains is our specialty. We welcome the opportunity to answer any questions you may have about our horses.
